These are some of the ways Melody from “Out of my Mind” and me are alike. We both don’t have many friends.Following this, we are as lonely as the lone ranger. “I’m here with Melody and her family.” Rose mumbles. “On purpose?” Clair shrieks. We both can be peaceful. Once in awhile, we are like dove in sky. “Uh.” I said softly as I continued to stroke the dog’s silky fur. We are both messy.By comparison, we are like dogs at lunch time. “Didn’t you put a bib on her Diane?” dad yelled back. “You know she makes a mess.” Those were some of the ways Melody from “Out of my Mind” and me are alike.

These  are some of the things I like about Sharon Draper’s writing. I like how she gives the characters a voice.“ Let me tell you something Doctor, there is no way  in Heaven or Hell that  we will be sending Melody to a nursing home! I like how she is descriptive. “Mrs. V wears huge, flowing dresses – must be miles of material  in those things – all in crazy colors combinations . Bubble Gum Pink with Fire Engine Red with Peachy Sherbet with Bright Cinnamon ” i like how she makes it realistic. “I am in a special  program with other children with  what they call disabilities.” Those were some of the things I liked about Sharon Draper’s writing 

I think that child  labor is like torture. Because,  the little kids lost their fingers and even lost their lives. I think that child labor is abusive to kids. I think it is mean to the kids because the parents had to depend on the kids for food and for the rent. I think that child labor is pure Evil.

I would like to be apart of the Legislative Branch, because the Legislative Branch gets to make laws and I would like to make laws that help this country. Also the Legislative Branch has the power to initiate spending bills bring legal action against government officals and approve treaties. Represenatives from the thirteen original states became the first members of the Legislative Branch. There and continue to be two main groups of Legislative, Senators and Represenative who serves in this Branch of Government. And I think I can make a difference in the world.

The Brown Bess: The Brown Bess muzzle-loading smoothbore musket was one of the most commonly used weapons in the American Revolution. While this as a British English t was used heavily by the american colonists. The Long Rifles were an American design of the18th century produced by individual German gunsmiths in Pennsylvania. Based on the Jager rifle, Long Rifles known as “Pennsylvania Rifles” we’re used by snipers and light infantry throughout the Revolutionary War. The Bayonet: The Bayonet was a critical weapon because of the musket. The weapon downfalls were made up by large infantry charges in which Bayonets were fixed on the ends of the guns. Both sides charged at one another in a large hand to hand conflict with the Bayonet leading the charge. The triangular shape of the Bayonet created terrible wounds because they didn’t cut through the flesh;rather it was tearing and puncture style of infliction. This was often worse than getting shot.

I think Betsy Ross made the American Flag because, it said in the Betsy Ross Story that George Washington Colonel Ross, and Robert Morris Came to her not Francis Hopkinson
